One of the first varieties of fluorite introduced to the world came from a small cave in wales, named blue jhon stone, it was used to carve challices and glassware due to it’s relative softness. Much later, in the 60’s illinois became famous for incredible fluorite, and in the late 2010’s china began producing some of the best specimens ever seen!
